Luis Miró Quesada Valega
Peruvian (1942). He is member of the Miró Quesada family, which runs El Comercio, the most important media group in Peru. He is shareholder and has worked in the family company since the 60s. He has been member of the board of directors of El Comercio since 1991. Between 1998 and 2000, he was president of the National Club of Lima, a private organization which has been gathering the wealthiest families of the country since the 19th century. He served as chairman of the board of directors of El Comercio from 1998 to 2005. Then, in 2007 he resigned to serve as chairman of the board of directors of América Televisión, the most watched channel in Peru. At the same time, between 2011 and 2014, he has been member of the board of Graña & Montero, a construction company owned by his cousin, José Graña Miró Quesada.

His cousins are José Graña Miró Quesada (owner of Graña & Montero), Alejandro Miró Quesada Cisneros (former editor-in-chief of El Comercio between 1999 and 2008) and Bernardo Roca Rey Miró Quesada (current director of El Comercio, president of the Consejo de la Prensa Peruana (Peruvian Press Council) and director of the digital media Espacio360.pe)
