Milagros Miró Quesada Martens de Rodríguez Larraín
Peruvian (1955) Member of the Miró Quesada family, which controls El Comercio, the most important media group in Peru. She is now shareholder and vice-president of the board. Former tourism executive in Pan American World Airway between 1975 and 1983, and model for a brief time. She joined the board of El Comercio on 1999 after his father, Aurelio Miró Quesada Sosa –renowned Peruvian intellectual and historian, director of El Comercio between 1980 and 1998 – passed away. Apart from being shareholder and vice-president of the board of El Comercio, she owns 30% of Lan Peru, together with her husband, Emilio Rodríguez-Larraín Salinas.

Married to attorney Emilio Rodríguez-Larraín salinas, president of the Bord of Lan Peru and of Inmuebles Comerciales del Peru, a subsidiary of the Chilean Group Parque Arauco, owner of several department stores in Lima and the states. Also president of the Chilean subsidiary Ecocopter, a company that rents helicopters for mining and oiling activities, among others. * Milagros Miró Quesada’s husband is also shareholder of El Comercio, as are their children –Andrés, Milagros y Emilio, the last two lawyers at their father’s buffet: Estudio Rodriguez Larraín. One of Milagros Miró Quesada’s nephew is Juan Aurelio Arévalo Miró Quesada (son of Lucero Miró Quesada Martens), who has been trained as a journalist in El Comercio and is one of the few shareholders whose work has an orientation towards the family business.
